John Lee Hooker and Canned Heat
De longe um de meus bluesman favoritos, John Lee Hooker. Ele é tanto feeling que não da nem pra perceber quando faz improvisos. Muito fluente, mestre do ritimo boogie e das escalas abertas. canned Heat foi uma popular banda de blues elétrico com muita influência do delta blues. Também intima do boogie style e com alguns belos momentos psicodélicos como a época exigia, marcaram presença no Woodstock e em muitos outros festivais da era hippie.
Este disco é tido como um dos melhores trabalhos de Hooker,poucas bandas o acompanharam, e nenhuma tal qual Canned Heat, entre eles há um certo contraste, pois grande parte da obra de Lee Hooker é solo, muitas vezes sem banda completa e até sem mais ninguém.
Dê um play na primeira faixa e escute até o final. se não conseguir, ficam algumas recomendações: "Messingwith the Hook", " Send Me Your Pillow","You Talk Too Much","I Got My Eyes on You", "Peavine" (a top, e na minha opinião, o mesmo arranjo de If I had a possession Over Judgment day, de Robert Johnson), " Bottle Up and Go" e claro, o grand finale "Boogie Chilen nº2".

By far one of my favorite bluesman John Lee Hooker. He is both the feeling that there does not know when to improvise. Very fluent, Ritimo master of boogie and open ranges. Canned Heat was a popular electric blues band with much influence from the delta blues. Also intimate style boogie and some nice psychedelic moments as the time required, attended the Woodstock festival and many other of the hippie era.
This album is considered one of the best works of Hooker, few bands have accompanied, and which no such Canned Heat, among them there is a certain contrast, since much of the work of Lee Hooker is ground, often without full band and even without anyone else.
Give a play on the first track and listen to the end. if not, are some recommendations: "Messingwith the Hook", "Send Me Your Pillow," "You Talk Too Much," "I Got My Eyes on You," "Peavine" (the top, and in my opinion, the same arrangement of If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day a, Robert Johnson), "Bottle Up and Go" and of course the grand finale "Chilen Boogie No. 2."
